De-ionized water is the secret sauce that detailers, car washes, and window cleaners have used for decades.ĬR Spotless was the first to make the same technology available to homeowners in an affordable, compact, and portable system. With a CR Spotless Water System, you can let your car air dry and not leave any spots behind. That’s why we created a de-ionizing system that takes out all of the minerals in your water so you can just WASH, RINSE, and WALK AWAY! If they carried CR Spotless I'd get that but they don't and I think this is a nice, cheaper alternative.Hard water spots can destroy your vehicle’s finish. Knowing it's backed by Costco's lifetime, no questions asked return policy, I'd say it's a risk free investment into easier car washing. Replacements are $80 for a 2-pack at Costco.Īll in all, I'd recommend it. It does come with a second which is nice. I'm not sure if it will go from 01-04 to 100 ppm in a second. Or it might just gradually, overtime increase until you know it's time to change. Since you have to manually check the ppm to make sure it's working I could see the filter running out mid-wash and all of sudden you're rinsing with hard water when you started with soft, spotless and you won't know until the car's dry the next day. Now a few months later, a dozen rinses later, it's reading 04. I bought this from Amazon: and zero leaks. it leaks from the spigot, it leaks from the unit. The blue female to female hose it came with is horrible. The shower head attachment it came with is okay but I don't personally use it. I have one of those tilting wand things that works perfect. You need an attachment to increase the pressure. ![]() ![]() If you're just using your hose without an attachment it's almost useless. ![]() The pressure on this thing is pretty horrible. My water runs from about 75-100 PPM so not super hard but high enough to cause spotting. I do pretty long rinses as well around 15 minutes I'd say. Haven't counted the washes i've done but it's probably about a dozen if I had to guess. So yeah, been using this for a few months now. I could use better driveway lighting also. Of course I could use microfibers but there's risk to paint from drying even more so at night when visibility isn't perfect. This works perfect for quiet washes at night. #Best spotless car wash system plusI actually have a master blaster but I work 12 hour overnight shifts and we have a tenant plus neighbors so I can't whip that thing out if I want to wash/dry my car during the time I'll be awake or i'll piss everyone off. I can't just rinse the undercarriage because even if I try hard to get just underneath, some water will still get on the paint, and spots will obviously form. I'm tired as hell after surfing and no way am I whipping out my pressure washer or even doing an ONR wash because then I have to dry it after and it's just too much of a mental and physical commitment at the end of the day. I take my truck on the beach and need to rinse the undercarriage when I'm done. I figured a spotless rinse would be useful for many reasons in my case: So I've been using this thing for a few months ago. ![]()
